After a discussion initiated by The Chairman, it was proposed by Hugh McIlwaine and seconded by Stephen Kelly that Oisín CLG should lease the land required for the erection of the proposed new complex to ‘The Friends of Glenariffe’. This proposal was voted on and carried without dissent. The Chairman expressed his opinion that, as the Directors and members of ‘The Friends of Glenariffe’ were also committed members of Oisín CLG, he was confident that any fears regarding loss of control by Oisín CLG could be allayed and the lease is required as a prerequisite for obtaining funding from outside agencies.
