Junior Hurler of the Year 2011
This player was one of the hardest working players who was asked to play a new position this year. He made the position his own and was one of the first names on the team sheet.
Junior Hurler of the Year: Rory O’Connor
Niall Wheeler presented the Kenny Cup and Trophy
Most Improved Hurler of the Year
There were a couple of players whose performances stood out this year, namely Conán McToal who has cemented his position in the corner and also Paul Healy who had some great performances up front. However, this award is going to a player who had a terrific season.
At the start of the year you would not have associated him with his current position but with his consistent performances he soon became one of the first players on the team sheet. This award for Most Improved Player goes to someone who is a natural hurler, always remains calm under pressure and had a very strong season. His game has come on considerably and it is with great pleasure that (playing much better than his old man ever did) this award goes to our corner back Aaron Cosgrove.
Most Improved Hurler of the Year: Aaron Cosgrove
Chris Ward presented the Willie Bob Graham Cup and Trophy
Most Dedicated Hurler of the Year
This player has shown a lot of commitment over the last few years, highlighted by his improved performances on the pitch. He rarely misses a training session and if he does you can be sure he is making up for it himself – running the forest. At training sessions he always pushes himself and encourages others and is always very positive. On the field he never avoids a tackle and you know that he will do what is asked of him.
Most Dedicated Player of the Year award: Paul Healy.
Hugh Mc Ilwaine presented The Mariner’s Cup and Trophy

Senior Hurler of the Year
We had four stand out players this year who deserve a mention and were all considered for the Senior Player of the Year Award. Conán McToal, Mark Nulty and Aaron Cosgrove were magnificent in the full back line along with Conor McAlister, driving us forward from midfield. However, one of these players stood out above the others. He was very consistent for the full season and was one of only three players to play in every match. His attitude both on and off the pitch was exemplary. He always gives 100% and has a ‘never give up attitude’. The Senior Hurler of the Year award deservedly goes to Mark Nulty.

Conor Mackle presented the Danny Mc Allister Memorial Trophy and winner’s Trophy
